This Sunday we celebrate the arrival of Christ to the City of Jerusalem at our Palm Sunday Mass. More importantly, we begin the celebration of Holy Week - the end of Lent on Wednesday evening, the Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday) and Easter.
We will celebrate Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday at First UU as we have in past years. Holy Thursday service will be held in Bard Hall and Good Friday will be held in Clark Chapel. Holy Saturday, we will celebrate the Easter Vigil Mass with the community of St Peter of Rome, at their chapel, in the Mission Gorge area. The address is 7403 Princess View Dr, Ste E. This is first time in a very long time, if ever, we will celebrate the Easter Vigil Mass as a community.
Holy Week is not the end to Lent, but the beginning of a new life in Christ. I hope you will join us for our celebrations this Holy Week; to feel the renewal of our Catholic faith within you as an LGBTQ member of the church.
